The Kimberley Challenge expedition will travel through wilderness country with minimal access to land-based refueling locations. There are few or no roads, and even less towns where we are going. So we are completely reliant of our own fuel supplies.
A commercial expedition ship will be chartered for the trip which will carry fuel for all boats, together with fuel dispensing gear and a suitable docking pontoon.
Details of the refueling arrangements will be advised to all participants well before the start date.
It is expected that carrying our own fuel will allow us to purchase and supply fuel at close to normal pump prices as that available in towns.
