Australian Offshore Challenge events is major long distance rallies and expeditions involving people and organisations along 1,000 kilometers of coastline.
Helping co-ordinate the event activities provides the opportunity for many people to become involved as volunteers and event support personnel.
Depending on the type of event, volunteers are required for positions in two groups:
- Rally officials
- Event support
If you have some race or rally experience (on land or water) and would like to be involved as a rally official, then we require people for:
Course set-up
Scrutineering
Checkpoint controls
Scoring
Official boat crews (seamanship skills required)
Harbour security (own boat required)
Harbour control (own boat required)
If you have some experience or skills in the following areas, then we may have a position for you:
Clerical and administration
Catering
Truck driver
Bus driver
Boat handling
Radio communications
Computer data entry
Stores and logistics
Media Liaison
Activities coordination
General event support duties
